Fresh Blood Meets Anthropocene Challenges
The Fresh Blood for FreshWater is a conference organized by early-career freshwater scientists, representing not just new incomers to the field, but also those who still (or forever) feel themselves ‘fresh blood’. In this regard, the conference aims to provide a friendly atmosphere to present our work and to break boundaries exchanging ideas with other young researchers.
The last 6 editions of the conference were held in Central Europe. Therefore, we would like to bring it to the South in 2020. Specifically, the 7th Fresh Blood for Freshwater Conference (7FBFW) will take place in Bilbao (Spain) from 25th to 28th November 2020, under the topic ‘Fresh blood meets Anthropocene challenges’.
See key dates for the registration and submission of abstracts below!
What is the conference about?
One step beyond ecology
Besides the research areas usual in other editions, this time we go beyond ecology and add a special session on 1) Freshwaters and Society. Other sessions will be about 2) Community Ecology and Biodiversity, 3) Multiple Stressors and Eco-Toxicology, and 4) Biogeochemistry and ecosystem functioning. In any case, studies on macro and microorganisms, and cross-taxon studies, are more than welcome!
